We are building a forward-thinking energy company with renewable power plants that integrate solar, wind, and energy storage technologies.

St. Jørgen is a Danish energy company that develops and constructs some of Europe’s largest renewable onshore power plants. Our hybrid power plants combine three sustainable technologies—solar, onshore wind, and energy storage—offering a future-ready solution for efficient renewable energy production. We focus on large-scale projects with capacities of at least 100 MW per project. These renewable power plants contribute to a sustainable and stable energy supply, reduce climate impact, and support a decarbonized future. Currently, we are developing some of Northern Europe’s largest renewable power plants, with capacities of up to 600 MW. Most of our operations are based in Denmark, and we are also advancing projects in the Faroe Islands, Sweden, and France.

At St. Jørgen, we are more than just developers and operators of renewable power plants—we are passionate about creating a sustainable future. In addition to contributing to CO 2 reduction and meeting climate targets, we make a local impact by offering co-investment opportunities to landowners and neighbors, creating jobs, boosting the economy, and improving infrastructure. We prioritize respect for nature and the environment by focusing on minimizing climate impacts and enhancing biodiversity.

For us, relationships and collaboration are essential. We build connections through close cooperation with municipalities, landowners, neighbors, and local communities. Open dialogue and meaningful partnerships are key to our success.

An Independent Power Producer (IPP)

We strive to become an independent, sustainable energy company that delivers green power through modern, renewable power plants.

A Green Model

Our energy production integrates three technologies: solar, wind, and energy storage, providing a stable and sustainable energy supply.

A Local Approach

We foster relationships within local communities by offering landowners and neighbors the chance to co-invest in our projects. Our power plants prioritize biodiversity and aesthetics, ensuring solutions are tailored to the local environment and create value for all.

Landowner

As a landowner in our project area, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with St. Jørgen. We ensure transparency and fairness throughout the process and offer co-investment opportunities within the project. Our goal is to create a positive experience where all voices are heard, and the interests of landowners, municipalities, and local communities are carefully considered.

Local community

We recognize that local involvement is critical to the success of our projects. That’s why we actively engage with communities and municipalities in project areas. Neighbors are offered opportunities to co-invest, and we adapt solutions to meet local needs and preferences. By focusing on biodiversity and creating recreational spaces, we ensure our projects bring value to the community.

What are renewable power plants?

At St. Jørgen, we design and build the power plants of the future, using three fossil-free energy technologies: solar, wind, and energy storage. These hybrid projects harness renewable energy to provide a stable, sustainable, and large-capacity energy supply, playing a vital role in the green transition and boosting self-sufficiency in renewable energy.

Why solar, wind and energy storage?

Our renewable power plants integrate solar, wind, and energy storage technologies to create an efficient, reliable energy supply. Solar and wind complement each other: when the sun isn’t shining, it’s often windy, and vice versa. Energy storage captures excess energy, ensuring power availability even when weather conditions fluctuate. This combination balances the grid, optimizes land use and resources, and reduces the need for additional infrastructure, minimizing COemissions and environmental impact.

Large-scale land-based renewable power plants

We focus on large-scale projects designed for direct connection to the transmission grid. This approach reduces production costs while generating substantial amounts of renewable energy. Electricity from our power plants is distributed through the transmission grid to regional and local operators, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.

Solar energy is one of the most cost-effective renewable resources. By harnessing sunlight, we deliver sustainable, affordable, and CO2-neutral power. With low maintenance and stable operating costs, solar energy provides a long-term, fossil-free energy solution.

Wind energy is a reliable and efficient renewable energy source. Using advanced turbine technology, we generate clean, sustainable, and affordable electricity.

Energy storage systems capture and store electricity during periods of high production and low demand, ensuring energy availability when it’s needed most. This technology optimizes resource use, balances supply, and enhances energy efficiency.

As energy storage technology evolves, we anticipate deploying battery systems with significant capacity to meet future demands for flexible, sustainable energy supplies, even in the absence of wind or sunlight.

At St. Jørgen, we collaborate with a diverse range of individuals, companies, and organizations that contribute to the development and construction of our power plants. These partnerships also support local community engagement and biodiversity improvements.
